Fawad Khan to star in Salman Khans next production

While the growing popularity of Pakistani heartthrob Fawad Khan has made him one of the most sought after stars currently in Bollywood, the actor also seems to be on a signing spree and with reputed production houses and actors. Now, Fawad is all set to move out of the Dharma camp and join hands with Salman Khan productions.

Director of the film, Nitin Kakkar recently revealed that they have taken Fawad Khan on board and that the untitled venture is slated to go on floor next year as per the availability of dates of the actor. He also further added that they are yet to finalize the actress. On the other hand, the director did maintain that this not a social drama like his previous venture Filmistan but an urban love story with an interesting take of a relationship between a boy and a girl.

On the other hand, Fawad Khan is currently gearing up for Ae Dil Hai Mushkil and he will also be seen with Katrina Kaif in a film titled Raat Baaki.

Yes we are doing Krissh 4 confirms Hrithik Roshan Rakesh Roshan already has a plot idea

Hrithik Roshan has already put the debacle of his latest release Mohenjo Daro behind him. He is all set to work in a slew of films-at least 2-3 new projects, the next instalment in his father's Krissh being one of them.

At present, Hrithik Roshan is going through 35-40 scripts. While Hrithik Roshan is said to have opted out of Adi Chopra-Vijay Krishna Acharya's Thugs Of Hindostan as the 'practical modalities' did not work out, he will soon be signing a number of films.

Says Hrithik Roshan, "I've almost completed Kaabil, my home production that's been directed by Sanjay Gupta. We shot the film in 50 days and we've only two more weeks of shooting left. That's my quickest film to date."

The actor, known to work in one film per year at the most, plans to multiply on his work load by cutting down the number of days allotted to one film.

"Krissh 4 with my Dad is now in the planning stage and should see the light of day by the end of 2018. Hopefully, I'll do 3-4 films before that." While Hrithik Roshan refuses to comment on the number of scripts he is going through, the number according to sources close to Hrithik Roshan, is staggering.

"Duggu has almost 25-30 scripts by his bedside. He is going through each one and marking the ones that he may do," says a friend. Hrithik Roshan's father Rakesh Roshan confirms Krissh 4 is on the anvil. "Yes, the idea of doing Krissh 4 came to me when I saw a Ganesh idol during Ganesh Chaturthi sporting the 'Krissh' look. I already have an idea for Krissh 4. I am now pitching the idea to my team of writers."

All-out war between Sunny Leone and her documentary director Dilip Mehta

Sunny Leone's boycott of the premiere of the documentary on her life 'Mostly Sunny' has triggered of a 'pain' reaction for the docu's director Dilip Mehta.

Belying Sunny's husband Daniel Weber's claim that they couldn't make it to Toronto for the premier on account of a family function in New York, Mehta claims Sunny refused to attend the premiere after Dilip refused to cut some shots from the documentary on her request.

Says Dilip, "The final cut is the director's cut and that's how the film will remain. There's no compelling reason to compromise the film. The changes they are asking for, will weaken not only my vision but also the truthfulness of the documentary."

When asked to elaborate on the cuts that Sunny and her husband wanted, Dilip says, "It's just that now she appears to be self-conscious of certain partial frontal nudity scenes! And, that's so confusing"

Dilip wonders if Sunny Leone has gone into denial about her past. "Has Sunny finally lost her spunk? It is very surprising, since her past is what has not only made her, but is also what is sustaining interest in her. It's the curiosity factor, in my opinion, that's keeping the wheels turning."

In spite of Sunny Leone's absence, the documentary was very well received in Toronto.

Says Dilip,"People are really getting it. Hers is such a fascinating life- trajectory. The reaction is quite overwhelming, which is why it's generating media attention. Viewers are surprised by how vulnerable she appears to be. Over lunch, a prominent Sikh professional told me that he had gone into the theatre prejudiced (since she was a sikhni and a porn star), but, he emerged feeling totally supportive and appreciative of her candour and honesty.

Then why have Sunny Leone and her husband turned hostile towards the film? Protests Dilip, "They have not turned hostile and neither have I. They see certain scenes in a different light than how I see it, and, on the face of it, we agree to disagree."

Apparently Sunny is hurt because her home town in Canada is shown to reject her in the documentary. But, Dilip says that is unfortunately the truth. "In the very first shoot in her hometown of Sarnia, no one individual would come on record or in front of the camera. After much persuasion, only one family friend of her parents spoke reluctantly and that too, ended up saying very little."

In spite of Sunny Leone and her husband's hostility towards the documentary and its maker, when I contacted Daniel, he refused to comment on Dilip Mehta's remarks stating he and his wife didn't want to give the docu and its maker any publicity. Dilip is not at all regretful of making the documentary. He says "Not at all. I can't possibly ignore the fact that throughout the making of the film Sunny never once said, 'hold the roll' or cut a particular scene or a dialogue."

Uniquely, Deepa Mehta's film on the Nibhaya rape incident and her brother Dilip Mehta's documentary on Sunny Leone, 'Mostly Sunny' were both premiered at the Toronto International Film Festival.

Says Dilip, "What's more unique is that our films are two sides of the same coin. Deepa's brilliant fiction drama is about what makes a rapist, whereas, mine is the life story of a porn star who, as a porn star, is accused of being a cause of rape in India."

Jiah Khan case UK forensic report suggests evidence of a staged suicide

The (late) Jiah Khan case has witnessed several twists and turns in the past couple of years. The latest update on the same is that there is evidence that suggests that the actress' suicide was staged. What further adds to the controversy are the recent findings contradicting the reports submitted by the State.

Rabia Khan, who continues to file petitions about her daughter (late) Jiah Khan's suicide being a murder took the help of a British forensic expert, Jason Payne-James. His findings indicate that the injury mark on the lower lip of Jiah's body, which were considered as a friction of the teeth whilst the actress hanged herself during the CBI investigation, has now been regarded as a result of a fight or a wound caused by someone according to the recent reports. Also, the latest findings reportedly reveal that the marks caused on her neck are too precise to be caused by a dupatta and his reports indicate that it is a much more well-defined ligature mark.

In fact, just a few months ago, based on the investigations conducted by the CBI, the court had dismissed Rabia's appeal and the case now continued with the charges of abetment to suicide against the accused Sooraj Pancholi. While it is yet unsure if the forensic expert's opinion is admissible in court since it is done by a private foreign lab and not by the State, we hear that Rabia intends to approach the city sessions court with the latest findings and agreeing with the same, was their lawyer Dinesh Tiwari.

On the other hand, a few legal experts claim that it is quite possible that the court may accept these evidences, as an expert opinion irrespective of it being a part of the State or no, is generally considered in these cases.

Sanjay Leela Bhansalis Padmavati faces objection

Even though Sanjay Leela Bhansali's last release Bajirao Mastani had set the Box-Office afire, it had got mired in a controversy. Readers may recall that the descendants of the Maratha Peshwa and Mastani in Pune and Hyderabad had objected to the film on historical grounds.

Sanjay Leela Bhansali's latest film Rani Padmavati has seemingly landed itself into troubled waters even before the film's shoot. As the film is based on the glorious life of Maharani Padmavati, Sanjay Leela Bhansali had plans to shoot the film in Gujarat and a Southern district of Rajasthan. However, when the news reached Patel Navnirman Sena's President Hardik Patel's ears, he raised an objection over the film's shooting.

Hardik Patel reasoned that he got to know from the Rajasthan-based Rajput Sena's members that Sanjay Leela Bhansali was making a film on Maharani Padmavati and that Bhansali had not studied the history behind the vast legacy of Maharani Padmavati. Hardik Patel felt that this could result in damaging the image of Maharani Padmavati. That's why Hardik Patel and his team members have told Sanjay Leela Bhansali to stop the film's production. He has also told Sanjay Leela Bhansali to hold discussions with the Rajput leaders before he commences the shooting of Padmavati.

Hardik Patel also demanded that if Sanjay Leela Bhansali refrains from giving assurance of not damaging Rani Padmavati's image, then, 'Patidar Navnirman Sena' will not only be holding protests against the movie across the country, but also, will not give permission for the film to release in Rajasthan. Hardik Patel also added that no director had the right to damage history for entertainment.

Priyadarshan and Lissy Laxmi get divorced

Filmmaker Priyadarshan's ex-wife Lissy who now insists on being addressed as Lissy Laxmi after their divorce proceedings came to an end on Friday has a few confessions to make about their marriage and the separation. Amidst several speculations that often haunt celebrity couples, before, during and also after the completion of their divorce, South actress Lissy decided to go public and revealed about how relieved she is about the processes coming to an end.

The divorce proceedings that started in 2014 were described as ugly by Lissy Laxmi who also added that it is a reflection of their marriage. While she was all praises for celebrity couples who have respected each other's decision and feelings by going their separate ways and accepting a divorce by mutual consent, theirs has been a controversial one. Lissy Laxmi, who expressed her gratitude towards her children who handled the news well and have been supportive about the same, described the past couple of years as a difficult road but she is glad that the journey has ended and now she can move on.

Lissy Laxmi tied the knot with filmmaker Priyadarshan in 2010 and the couple has two children. During the initial stages of their separation and divorce, apparently Priyadarshan had maintained that he always looked at Lissy as a good wife and mother and it was him who was egoistic.

Akshay Kumar doing Five and Naam Shabana The real truth

There are a couple of rumors surrounding Akshay Kumar going around the town. One, that he would also be making an appearance in Naam Shabana, prequel to Baby. Two, he is playing five characters in director Omung Kumar's next, Five.

Both rumors are, well, just rumors.

"Let's talk about Naam Shabana first," informs our source, "Akshay is definitely not playing a lead in the film. As a matter of fact, he won't be seen in a special appearance either. His hands are tied by around 4-5 films already where he is in the lead role. Moreover, the film doesn't require his presence. Yes, he is producing the film but that's about it."

Considering the fact that a large audience base may expect him to make some kind of token on-screen contribution to Naam Shabana, he may just about step in for a cameo in this film which is being directed by Shivam Nair.

"That's about it though, nothing more, and even that hasn't been pencilled in so far," the source continues, "The film is about the character played by Tapsee Pannu and revolves around her."

Another rumor making the rounds is a film called Five, for which the release date too has been announced for 26th January 2018.

"Yes, the date is certainly one of the hot favorites for Akshay, considering he has brought his Baby (2015) and Rustom (2016) around the Republic Day. However, he is not doing the film," comes a shocking revelation. "There is no idea where this rumor started from."

As per reports, Five is a psychological thriller and Akshay Kumar will play five distinct characters.

"Yeah, interesting idea indeed," our insider adds, "However, so far nothing has been materialized. These are just pre-mature reports. Currently, Akshay has Jolly LLB 2.0, Robot 2.0, Toilet - Ek Prem Katha and Crack in different stages of production. His other films would be announced officially when the time is ripe."

We will wait.
